Hi everyone! This is Stephanie here, the owner of this blog :) I decided to create this blog to talk about being an average 16 year old in the south who just happens to be pansexual.
When realizing I was pansexual there was hardly any information about it and even less people I knew that were, and to this day I can't seem to name any celebrities that are out and pansexual other than Angel Haze, who is astounding in their own right, (I seriously love Angel Haze, they're also agender as well, so it's like a double score!) but they're not an A-List celeb. I try not to complain because we have great A-List celebrities like Ellen DeGeneres and Neil Patrick Harris, but it seems like in Hollywood all we have is gay and straight, and this doesn't help the idea of sexuality being more like a spectrum and less black and white.
As a society I feel like we take one step forward and two steps back. We are getting more representation with shows like Glee and Modern Family, and we are on the right track with same-sex marriage but now we have these outrageous (and not to mention harmful) laws in place in Indiana. These signs in Indiana that say "straights only" or "gays only severed take out" are eerily similar to the ones we saw in our history books in school when we were studying segregation and Jim Crow laws.
Since this is an introduction I don't want to really dive into a full blog entry, so I will leave you with that thought.
Thank you guys so much for reading, I really hope you enjoy my blog and if you have any topics that you want me to write about or research then just let me know!
Stephanie :)
